The curtain fell on 9th round of the 2025 /26 English Premier League on Sunday 26 October with everything football fans could hope for goals, surprises and changes at the top of the table.

The round began on friday night as Leeds United edged West Ham 2-1. The action intensified on Saturday when Man United defeated Brighton 4-2 in 6 goal thriller at Old Trafford while Newcastle overcame Fulham 2-1.

Elsewhere Chelsea suffered shock 1-2 home defeat to Sunderland and Liverpool’s struggles deepened after 2-3 loss to Brentford away from home.

Sunday brought even more drama. Arsenal secured narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in tense London derby extending their unbeaten run and tightening their grip on first place.

Burnley stunned Wolves 3-2 at Molineux, Man City fell 0-1 to Aston Villa and Tottenham cruised past Everton 3-0.

Bournemouth also continued their excellent start with 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
