Coach Thiago Motta, Federico Gatti, Manuel Locatelli and Francisco Conceicao spoke to the press following Juventus’ 0-0 draw against Aston Villa on Matchday five of the UEFA Champions League, league phase.

THIAGO MOTTA

“We take home an important point, following a match against a fast and dangerous team like Aston Villa. We played with balance, conceding very few chances, but it's true that we created little so as not to expose ourselves to their strengths. [Francisco] Conceicao's chance was a good one, it’s a pity we didn't take advantage of it. [Teun] Koopmeiners? He is a fundamental part of the team and very versatile, even if playing the role between the lines is difficult. Now we have three important games ahead of us in the Champions League: we want to win all of them whilst maintaining our identity in all departments.”

FEDERICO GATTI

“We are enduring an injury crisis and it was a tough match against an English team. The absentees? We missed them all because they all play important parts; tomorrow we will analyse the match in detail and see where we can improve, it's a good point but we could have won; in any case, when you can't win, you mustn't lose.”

MANUEL LOCATELLI

“We definitely could have done more, because we always aim for victory. We don't look for excuses: when we take to the field, we give everything for this shirt. Analysing the match, we could have been more disciplined, but taking a point away from such a tough match is still a positive result. We have to look at ourselves in the mirror, go out on the pitch and show that we are worthy of wearing this shirt.”

FRANCISCO CONCEICAO

“We put in a good team performance and all that was missing was the goal. We have to give everything to win in the upcoming matches. {Emiliano] Martinez's save from my header? It was a good chance, I'm disappointed it didn't go in. I hope to score in the next game: it would be important for our Champions League campaign.”
