The dream continues! For the first time since 2018, the AC Milan Primavera passes the hurdle of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals and in the best possible way. Winning the derby away to Inter, on penalties following the 2-2 draw at the end of the 90 minutes. It was a pulsating match, we went ahead (Cocchi own goal in the 31st minute) and also behind, before equalising in the 68th minute with Liberali. Precisely he, from the penalty spot, had the chance to make it 3-2 but shot high. But the Rossoneri redemption too came from the penalty spot: our takers were impeccable - Perina's was the winning penalty - while Longoni kept out two opposition attempts.

A great joy, 100% deserved, for Coach Guidi's team, who have thus also won the second derby of the season after the previous one in the league. A well-deserved milestone for a team that even tonight, at the end of a very good match, demonstrated the level they have reached through the constant growth this season. Applause for all, with the joy of seeing two players like the aforementioned Perina and Perrucci back after long injury spells. Between the Rossoneri and the final is Lecce: the semi will be played in March at the PUMA House of Football, with the next fixture being against Juventus in Vinovo in the league on Saturday at 13:00 CET.

MATCH REPORT Little happened in the beginning, a contracted game with both teams feeling the tension. Nice run from Liberali in the 12th minute, but the free kick won by Mattia lands off target. Magni and Bonomi have no luck on the counter, with the latter putting a shot high from an excellent position in the 22nd minute. However, the goal had been coming and then came in the 31st minute: nice run down the left by Bakoune, Calligaris parries but the ball came off Cocchi and ended up in the net, 1-0 to AC Milan. The Nerazzurri tried to react, AC Milan however continued to push again with Bakoune but without generating shots on target. Close to halftime came Inter's equaliser: Aidoo to Mosconi who shot past Longoni. Guidi's team tried to react, but Calligaris neutralized a shot from Liberali.

Great intensity at the start of the second half but few chances, the first being a Topalović shot stopped by the Rossoneri defence in the 51st minute. Inter made it 2-1 in the 57th minute when a cross from deep by Cocchi found Berenbruch at the back post, scoring on the volley. AC Milan, however, did not give up, the Coach tried to turn it around with the changes - Nissen and Perera in - and in the 68th minute the game went level again. Mattia Liberali scored a great goal: starting with the ball at his feet on the right, the number 10 made a run to the middle and shot home from the edge of the box. Two minutes later we have a great chance when a foul in the box on Victor leads to a penalty for us. Liberali stepped up to the spot but the ball went high. Chance for Scotti in the 76th minute with a nice twisting shot that grazed the goal. A lot of intensity but little opportunity in the final minutes. Level after 90 minutes and it went to penalties where Longoni kept Lavelli and Pinotti out whilst the Rossoneri put no foot wrong: we’re in the semi-final!
