Prince Cissé signed his first professional contract with Liverpool on Thursday. The 17-year-old defender is the son of former Reds striker Djibril Cissé.

As reported by L'ÉEquipe, he has been at the club since he was four, starting as a forward before moving into defence in recent seasons and now operating mainly at centre-back.

He made 19 appearances for Liverpool U18s in 2025-2026, plus four in the Youth League, where his side went out in the round of 16.

The milestone comes 20 years on from the end of Djibril Cissé's stint with the Reds, between 2004 and 2006.

Born in Chester in the north-west of England, he represents Wales at youth level through his mother, Jude Littler. His older brother, Cassius Cissé, 20, plays in Notts County’s youth set-up, the club based in Nottingham.
