Sunderland’s loanees are mixing promotion tilts with injury blows. According to Sunderland Echo, several left on short-term deals across the last two windows.
Simon Adingra’s January loan to Monaco has yielded three goals in 10 games and he featured in their Champions League play-off with Paris Saint-Germain. Jenson Seelt has 10 outings for Wolfsburg, interrupted by knee trouble and illness.
At Lens, Arthur Masuaku has played twice and was sent off during the warm-up before last month’s Coupe de France quarter-final at Lyon. Timothee Pembele has seven appearances for Le Havre.
Anthony Patterson has three clean sheets in seven for Millwall under Alex Neil as the Lions chase promotion to the Premier League. Dan Neil has 10 games for Ipswich and there is speculation a permanent move could follow when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Leo Hjelde’s recovery has included five Championship appearances since joining Sheffield United in January. Aji Alese has only one substitute outing for Portsmouth after a serious groin injury in February’s 1-0 defeat at Preston North End.
Alan Browne has 33 outings, four goals and one assist for Hellberg’s Middlesbrough.
Niall Huggins has 20 appearances for Wycombe, seven as a starter, and Nazariy Rusyn has four goals in 21 matches for Arka Gdynia.
Zak Johnson has 20 games for York and scored in February’s 3-0 win at Wealdstone. Luis Semedo has scored in draws with Estoril and Nacional for Morierense, and Milan Aleksic has two assists in eight for Cracovia.
