Wolves face a hectic close-season as they reshape for the Championship, with free agents central to a swift Premier League return. They want early deals in a World Cup summer.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, they are eyeing Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil, out of contract and unwilling to renew. Other available players could also attract interest.
Josh DaSilva, 27, helped Brentford go up but has barely featured across three seasons. A serious knee injury in February last year halted him, and he has yet to play this term.
Axel Tuanzebe, a Manchester United graduate, won promotion with Villa in 2019 and helped Ipswich before joining Burnley on a one-year deal last summer. With experience in the Premier League, EFL and Serie A, he could appeal if available.
Harry Winks, the 10-cap England midfielder, joined Leicester from Spurs for £10m in 2023 and is out of contract this summer. After a recent clash with supporters, scrutiny has followed, yet at 30 he still looks a credible Championship option.
Ross Stewart earned a £10m move to Southampton after 40 goals in 80 games for Sunderland across League One and the Championship. Despite injuries he has 10 in 45, seven this season, and his next step may hinge on Saints going up.
Full-back James Bree is also out of contract, having returned from a Charlton loan to play a role in Southampton’s promotion bid. He is a reliable operator at this level.
