PSG add Enzo Fernandez to shortlist, winter move unlikely | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain have added Enzo Fernandez to their future targets, but a winter transfer is not expected.

According to L'Équipe, the Argentina midfielder, 24, is on the shortlist and is under contract at Chelsea until 2032. He has been considering his future at the club.

He built a good relationship with Enzo Maresca, and the Italian’s sacking, with Liam Rosenior taking over, has not left him indifferent.

In France, his reputation was dented after a video from Argentina’s Copa America 2024 celebrations. A chant with racist connotations, including mocking references to the African origins of some France players, could be heard.

PSG have not begun work on reinforcing that area of the team. The imminent return of Achraf Hakimi from the Africa Cup of Nations will allow Warren Zaïre-Emery to be restored to midfield.
