West Ham United are making a strong push to sign Carlos Soler as the summer transfer window nears its end. Recent updates suggest they’re aiming for a specific type of deal to finalize the transfer.

Earlier this month, L’Equipe reported that West Ham United, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Real Sociedad are all interested in Soler. It looks like West Ham have taken the lead in the race, ahead of both Brighton and Real Sociedad.

Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg also reported that initial discussions have occurred, but no agreements have been reached yet. West Ham are pushing for a loan with an obligation to buy, with the total fee expected to be around £20 million.

The latest information on the Soler file comes from Le Parisien as the outlet reports that West Ham and PSG are nearing an agreement for the permanent transfer of Soler. The deal is expected to be worth €23 million, including bonuses.

In the 2023-24 season, Soler made 26 appearances in all competitions for the French club, scoring once and contributing four assists. The Spaniard was relegated to a rotational role with the Parisians, perhaps he will have a more prominent function with the Hammers.
