After their comeback win against Real Oviedo, FC Barcelona have two crucial games coming up for them. Firstly, they will take on Real Sociedad in La Liga, and will be looking to get the full three points from this match, as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will also be playing against one another, and one of them is sure to lose points.
After that, there is the UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain, and this tie would definitely be more exciting for the fans. In addition to seeing two of the best teams in Europe face off against one another, this match will also see Luis Enrique once again take to the pitch against his beloved FC Barcelona.
As Mundo Deportivo has noted, this upcoming match was also on the former Blaugrana and current PSG coach’s mind as he talked to the media ahead of his side’s league game against AJ Auxerre.
The coach rued some of the mistakes made by his side in the recent loss to Olympique Marseille, and believed such mistakes can also cost his team against a side like Barcelona:
“The players don’t want to make simple mistakes, but we have to accept it, they’re human and it’s part of the game. But if you miss the same number of easy passes against OM or Barça, you’re done for. As a coach, I shouldn’t get angry or accept that the players make mistakes. But we’ll improve that tomorrow and against Barça.”
There is no doubt that this will be a blockbuster tie, but both teams will be missing some important players. Hopefully, Barcelona and PSG will still be able to put on a show for the fans in this match.
