It is no secret that Paris Saint-Germain are scouring the market for a replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma (25). PSG – and most notably Luis Enrique – have not been convinced by the Italian’s performances. That was evidenced by the club’s recruitment of Matvey Safonov in the summer; the Russian has – at times – come in to replace Donnarumma, including in the UEFA Champions League.

As per L’Équipe, Lille OSC’s Lucas Chevalier (23) is a priority target for PSG as they look to strengthen their No.1 option. However, a former Dogue is also being considered, according to Sacha Tavolieri Mike Maignan (29). Les Parisiens are interested in bringing their former academy product back to the Parc des Princes this summer. The France international’s current contract with AC Milan runs until 2026, with no agreement yet being reached regarding an extension.

Should Maignan – or Chevalier – join PSG, it will open up the door for Donnarumma to leave the club, with Tavolieri alluding to a return to Italy as a possibility.
