PSG have made an effort over the past handful of transfer windows to add more top French talent. Every summer, there’s been a new arrival with Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, and Lucas Chevalier coming on board.
Nonetheless, could the capital club be eyeing another top French talent for a future move? TBR Football recently reported that Bayern Munich hope to tie Michael Olise down to a new contract before the end of the season to discourage potential suitors.
The Bundesliga giants are in love with the player and are prepared to offer Olise a “huge pay rise” to fend off Premier League interest.
Liverpool are long-term admirers of Olise, whereas Chelsea, PSG, and Barcelona are also huge fans of Olise. However, as things stand, none plan to test the waters next summer.

On the latest “Ensemble PSG Podcast,” PSG and French football expert Jonathan Johnson weighed in on whether he sees the Ligue 1 side being a serious suitor for Olise.
“At this moment in time, I don’t see why he would be too much of a priority for PSG,” Johnson said. “I also don’t think that Bayern consider parting ways with him. Then again, if PSG were to put the right amount of money in front of Bayern, sure, there’s an argument to say Bayern would not be able to reject that past a certain point.
“I think he would be a very good fit for PSG, especially when you bear in mind the project being put together. My big doubt would be where he could be accommodated at this moment in time without an obvious big-name departure. It feels like he has a very similar profile to a number of the players PSG already have.”

Moreover, Johnson noted that he doesn’t see PSG moving for Olise anytime soon but did set a realisitc timeline for when the capital club could make a push for the Bayern Munich standout.
“If the groundwork is done six to maybe 12 for maybe even 18 months in advance, that could happen possibly next summer, although I think it would be a bit tricky with the World Cup, especially given how World Cups can immediately inflate a player’s valuation for a put together a couple of good performances,” Johnson added. “Perhaps for the summer of 2027. That would be my realistic timeline for this.”
