After a grueling 2024-25 season, PSG’s squad depth is already being tested in 2025-26. On the attacking front, the Parisians have already faced setbacks with injuries to Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé.
With a packed schedule that includes multiple competitions and international call-ups, PSG needs enough reinforcements to handle any further absences. It’s no surprise, then, that the Ligue 1 side is considering adding an attacking option during the winter transfer window.
The latest name linked to a potential move is FC Cologne’s Said El Mala, and new details on this transfer have now surfaced.

According to reports from Sport Bild (h/t Foot01), the Ligue 1 club are planning to try to sign the German winger from FC Cologne next summer. PSG are reportedly considering making an offer between €50 and €60 million to secure the deal, especially since clubs like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Chelsea are also interested in the 19-year-old talent.
Recently, journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that several clubs are even considering a deal this summer, potentially leaving him at Cologne on loan for the rest of the season to continue his development.
While El Mala’s worth is estimated at around €18 million, offers between €30 million and €40 million have reportedly been rejected, with the club determined to push for an even higher fee.
Since the start of the season, El Mala has played 16 matches in all competitions with Cologne, scoring six goals and providing three assists. His playing style and team-oriented approach have particularly impressed the Parisian management.
Despite having significant room for improvement and facing strong competition at PSG, El Mala can draw inspiration from young players who have recently made a name for themselves in the French capital.
This is reassuring as he prepares to make a major first step in his young career. While more details about his future remain uncertain, he will need to maintain his form with Cologne.
