Paris Saint-Germain are exploring a move for Barcelona midfielder Fermín López and, according to ElNacional.cat, would propose a swap involving two players plus a fee to open talks.
The plan is said to be driven by Luis Enrique, who views López as ideal for his system. He has tracked the Andalusian for some time and believes he could become important in Paris.
While initial contact might be entertained, Joan Laporta and Deco remain firm. They regard López as strategic to Barcelona’s future and are reluctant to discuss a sale.
PSG’s interest is not new. Figures around 50 million euros have been mentioned in recent months, with scope to increase if Barcelona engaged. Hansi Flick is said to have halted any exit because he counts on the player.
Barcelona have López tied to a very high release clause and plan to extend his deal further. He is highly valued by supporters and by the coaching staff.
