PSG have again been linked with Diogo Costa, who is viewed as central to Farioli's project, but any move would be complicated by Porto's stance and the goalkeeper's ambitions.

L'Équipe reports that PSG paused business until the Champions League final and are now assessing targets, with Diogo Costa on their list alongside Maghnes Akliouche of Monaco and Yan Diomande of Leipzig, and that QSI adviser Luís Campos will begin meetings with agents and clubs this week.

Porto are reluctant to sell. The release clause is €60 million and the board led by André Villas-Boas are unlikely to ease talks, with the captain seen as fundamental to the team that will return to the Champions League. The president has challenged him to swap 99 for 2, a number with significant weight at the club, and there has been no contact from PSG or any other side so far.

Costa renewed in December to 2030, becoming the squad's highest earner, and is comfortable at the Dragão. He would only consider leaving for an elite club and a project that sustains winning, with sporting arguments outweighing lucrative offers from peripheral markets.

Villas-Boas attended the Champions League final in Budapest with no work meetings scheduled. The window is long and Porto expect movement on ins and outs, while the leadership, including Villas-Boas and Farioli, have said they want to keep established players and strengthen. For now, Costa is focused on the World Cup.
