PSG v Arsenal – good signs for Dembélé and Hakimi

This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain face Arsenal at the Puskas Arena in Budapest in the final of the 2025-2026 Champions League (kick-off at 6 p.m., broadcast on Canal+ and M6). This Wednesday, L’Equipe reported that Ousmane Dembélé (a 29-year-old forward) and Achraf Hakimi (a 27-year-old right-back) both took full part in collective training for the second consecutive day.

“Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi, who recently picked up calf and thigh issues respectively, took part in small-sided games this Wednesday and are in contention to start on Saturday against Arsenal.”

There was not much doubt after training resumed yesterday, but the players could still have had some negative feelings. Far from it: Dembélé and Hakimi actually seem to be building momentum ahead of the final. That gives hope that they will be fit and able to help the Parisian side be especially strong, even though there are solutions without them.
