Vincent Kompany’s high-flying Bayern Munich side will face their biggest challenge of the season yet when they take on defending Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening.
The German champions have been in remarkable form this season, winning all 15 of their games across all competitions.
Their most recent outing saw them comfortably beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the Bundesliga, despite resting key players such as Luis Diaz, Michael Olise and Harry Kane.
Bayern will now be seeking revenge on the team they last lost to, having fallen 2-0 to PSG in the Club World Cup quarter-finals over the summer.
“We know it'll be a top match against top opponents,” said Bayern centre-back Jonathan Tah ahead of the game.
“What we've achieved so far makes us extremely strong and gives us a lot of confidence to go there now and give it our all.”
PSG may not have a flawless record this season, but they are in good form, having won three of their last four games.
In the Champions League, they top the standings ahead of Bayern on goal difference after their 7-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen in October.
For Bayern, Alphonso Davies (knee), Hiroki Ito (foot) and Jamal Musiala (ankle) remain sidelined as they continue their rehabilitation. Otherwise, Kompany is expected to have a full squad available.
PSG will be without Desiré Doué (thigh) and Ilya Zabarnyi (suspended). Ousmane Dembélé is back in training and could feature, though it’s uncertain if he’ll start.
Fabian Ruiz returned from injury off the bench in the 1-0 win over Nice could be handed a starting spot this time.
