PSG could be preparing to reshape its midfield looking ahead. Vitinha and João Neves appear to be key pieces for the future, but questions remain about Warren Zaïre-Emery’s satisfaction with his current role, while Fabián Ruiz will turn 30 near the end of this campaign.
That combination might prompt some changes next season. PSG have shown they aren’t hesitant to make bold choices—Gianluigi Donnarumma’s situation being a recent example—and PSG could be taking steps to stay proactive rather than reactive regarding their roster.
So, who might PSG be eyeing to keep their midfield strong? A recent report suggests PSG could have Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali on their radar.

Fichajes reports that PSG are looking to build on their historic season and already have their sights set on their next major signing: Sandro Tonali.
The Parisian club are reportedly preparing a bid of around €60 million to bring in the Italian midfielder from Newcastle United. Luis Enrique views Tonali as the perfect fit to reinforce the squad’s midfield.
Moreover, this information comes after TuttoJuve reported that Juventus and PSG are gearing up to make a move for Tonali. The report also mentions that the capital club remain determined to pursue Tonali and have no plans to back down, even with Juventus also pushing to secure his signature.
Nonetheless, The i Paper has recently revealed that Tonali and his representatives appreciate the support that Newcastle gave him when he was out of football, which suggests that the midfielder will not actively look to leave St James’ Park anytime soon.
Tonali is also under contract until 2028, so there’s no need to sell now as the Magpies look to work out a contract extension for the player.
