Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to have Vitinha back for their Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

The midfielder had been struggling with a heel injury which had kept him out of Paris’ last two matches against Nantes and Angers, but reports in France claim that the Portugal international is set for a well-timed return to feature in Europe.

Elsewhere, forward Quentin Ndjantou is out with a hamstring issue, but otherwise, Luis Enrique has a full complement to pick from.

Matvey Safonov has made the No1 jersey his own despite Lucas Chevalier’s arrival to replace the departed Gianluigi Donnarumma.

In front of him, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes complete a formidable full-back duo, while in the middle, there is a decision to be made.

Enrique has been flitting between Ilya Zabarnyi, William Pacho and Marquinhos in recent weeks, but is likely to settle on the more experienced Pacho and Marquinhos for this huge European tie as he looks to keep Harry Kane quiet.

In the engine room, Vitinha’s return will mean that Lucas Beraldo’s time as a makeshift No6 is up, with Vitinha slotting back into his quarterback position, flanked by Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves.

The front three is where it gets even scarier, with the options that Enrique has to play with.

Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele is nailed on to start, but whether he starts through the middle is another question.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will likely be fielded wide left, so it will be a straight shootout between Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue for the starting berth on the right.

Doue was preferred for the trip to Anfield last time out, but Barcola emerged off the bench to have an impact on Merseyside in what turned out to be the Dembele show, with the Frenchman notching a brace.

Predicted PSG XI (4-3-3): Safonov; Hakimi, Pacho, Marquinhos, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Fabian; Barcola, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
