Last summer, Paris Saint-Germain decided to part ways with Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi. Moreover, they handed the keys to the club to Kylian Mbappé, but this experiment lasted only one season since the Frenchman left after this past 2023-24 campaign.

Rather than having a three-headed superstar monster of Messi, Mbappé, and Neymar Jr., the capital club opted to have only one, with the 25-year-old being the focal point last season.

However, PSG’s decision to have Mbappé be the center of the club is something that Neymar Jr.’s father disagreed with. L’ÉQUIPE explore reports that the Brazilian stated the reigning Ligue 1 champions “gave the keys to the club to a madman.”

It will be interesting to see if one day Neymar decides to open up and whether he feels the same way about the Parisians’ decision. Nonetheless, the decision did blow up in PSG’s face as Mbappé left as a free agent to sign with Real Madrid and begin a new chapter of his career.
