Pulisic ‘to miss’ Milan vs Atalanta, last chance for Leao | OneFootball

Christian Pulisic is expected to miss Milan’s Serie A trip to Atalanta on Sunday after reporting a gluteal issue in the final training session, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Massimiliano Allegri was already tipped to reshape his side after the 2-0 defeat to Sassuolo last weekend. There had been talk of both starting centre-forwards changing, with Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez replacing Rafael Leao and Christopher Nkunku.

The extent of Pulisic’s problem is unclear, with further updates anticipated.

It has been a lean calendar year for Pulisic. He scored eight league goals in the first half of the 2025/26 campaign, but has not found the net for club or country since the turn of the year.

Leao has nine Serie A goals this season, though he is without a goal across his last seven league outings. He had been expected to be dropped for the Atalanta match amid claims he could be sold in the summer, yet he is now set for another opportunity in Pulisic’s place.
