QPR are ‘interested in signing’ left-back Bruno Langa, who could move on from Spanish side Almeria following a loan stint in Portugal.

Almeria loaned the Mozambique international to Portuguese outfit Estrela Amadora for the second half of recent season after he struggled for opportunities at Cypriot side Pafos during the opening half of the campaign.

Langa went on to establish himself as the first-choice left-back in Portugal, making eleven appearances and helping Estrela Amadora preserve their top-flight status.

The left-back has now returned to Almeria, where he has enterted the final two years of his contract with the Spanish club.

The Spanish outfit remain in the second tier and Langa could have the opportunity to move elsewhere this summer amid growing interest in his services.

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, QPR ‘are interested in signing’ the left-back and a summer transfer ‘remains a possible scenario’ for the Almeria man.

The R’s are not alone in the race though, with Spanish second-division outfit Eibar also having been drawn to the Mozambique international.

QPR have been exploring options at left-back for some time and, as far back as March, were credited with ‘serious interest’ in Boy Kemper.

Rhys Norrington-Davies occupied the left-back role at Loftus Road recent season, but his loan deal is due to expire this month and it remains unclear whether it will be converted into a permanent move.

Langa also has seven Champions League appearances to his name, experience that could prove valuable should the R’s decide to advance their interest.

The left-back has additionally earned 37 caps for Mozambique since his debut in 2021.

Whether Langa opts for a new challenge with QPR or continues his journey in Spain remains to be seen.

QPR could finish just 15th in the Championship this season and need to strengthen this summer if Julien Stephan is to be able to push them towards the playoff spots.
