The Queen Bees will host meet-ups for home games and bring together women and girls who wish to travel to away games. The group also plan to support and fundraise for women and girls’ charities.
The supporter group was created by Brentford fans Alison Mullaley, Abi Hadjigeorgiou, Debbie Pennington and Sara Loewenthal.
Debbie, who began her journey of supporting Brentford in 2001, first started following the club after she moved to the area. She said: "My husband and I started to follow Brentford’s progress and go to some games. I took my niece and nephew, too, we came from a family of non-football supporters. I loved Griffin Park - I felt safe taking young children and loved cheering the boys."
In 2022, Debbie purchased a season ticket. After football fans started to return to stadiums following the Covid-19 pandemic, she would see friends at games but didn’t have a chance to connect with them. This became a motivating factor in creating Queen Bees.
Debbie continued: "2026 is all about the Queen Bees, raising the profile of women in football, letting everyone have access, creating seat buddies and organising pre-match meet-ups.
"Just getting an opportunity to be with the same people helps build the relationship. If there were Queen Bees in 2021, I would have definitely contacted them."
Fans can sign up to join the Queen Bees now here. The group is open to male allies as well as women and girls.
Abi and Ali will be joining Stu Wakeford pitchside before kick-off at Brentford's Premier League fixture against Wolves at Gtech Community Stadium to speak about the new group.
The Queen Bees are planning a pre-match meet-up prior to the club’s home fixture against Everton on 11 April. More information on this will be made available on the group’s social media channels: Instagram @queenbeesbfc, BlueSky: @queenbeesbfc and Facebook: Queen Bees Brentford FC.
