Rafa Mir is close to finalising a switch to Aris Thessaloniki for 26/27, after a Valencia court approved him playing outside Spain.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the striker has received passport authorisation to play abroad, a key step towards leaving Sevilla. Meanwhile, Las Provincias reports the court has allowed him to reside in Greece this season to sign for Aris, with a requirement to report once a month at the consulate.
The Fourth Section of the Provincial Court of Valencia sentenced the former Valencia and Elche forward to eight and a half years in prison. The conviction relates to the sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman in the early hours of 1 September 2024 at his home in the Torre en Conill development in Bétera.
Sevilla have sidelined him while an exit is arranged, and most of his options lie abroad.
He has also been linked with Las Palmas and Mallorca in recent hours.
