Rafa Silva ‘to return’ to Benfica, talks with Besiktas still needed | OneFootball

Benfica are pushing to bring Rafa Silva back this winter, with an agreement in place with the former Portugal international, but negotiations with Besiktas are still required, O Jogo reports.

The daily adds Benfica are ready to offer five million euros plus about two million in add-ons. That contrasts with Record’s earlier claim that a full agreement had already been reached.

Besiktas’ president has confirmed an offer for the 32-year-old. Turkish media say the Istanbul club want around seven million euros guaranteed and foresee savings of about nine million euros in wages.

This season with Besiktas, Rafa Silva has made 16 appearances, 10 in the league in Türkiye, four in the Conference League and two in Europa League qualifying.

Across 1,360 minutes he has scored five goals and provided three assists. He is valued at five million euros and left Benfica in 2024, having worn the No 27 shirt.
