Rafael Obrador could join Torino on loan, with a €10 million option to buy, as Benfica weigh his next step. According to Glorioso 1904, the Portuguese club would also keep a percentage of any future profit, though the exact share is not disclosed.
The move would resolve the situation of a player outside the first-team picture and offer the left-back more minutes, while Benfica retain an interest in his future. Torino are 12th in Serie A and recently knocked out Mile Svilar’s Roma in the Coppa Italia.
At one point, a temporary return to Real Madrid for the Spain under-21 international was considered.
The Spaniard has not forced his way in during the first half of the season, initially under Bruno Lage and more recently with José Mourinho.
Signed from Real Madrid last summer for about €5 million, Obrador agreed a five-year contract through 2030 that includes a €50 million release clause.
This season for Benfica, Rafael Obrador has played three matches, one in Liga Portugal Betclic and two in the Segunda Liga, logging 237 minutes with one goal and one assist. He is valued at €2 million.
