Rangers: Clement ‘admits’ he lied about Hamza Igamane injury

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has finally, at long last (partially) come clean about striker Hamza Igamane, after letting slip that the striker arrived at Rangers injured, rather than the claims he made about him not being mentally ‘ready’.

Speaking about the Moroccan’s best match as a Rangers player (including two brilliant goals and an assist) the boss finally admitted that the forward had come to Ibrox in the summer injured, an injury club source 4lads had announced back in August, heavily denied by the manager.

He said:

“Hamza came in (to Rangers in the summer) with an injury and missed all the preparation. He doesn’t have experience at this level.”

While still sticking to the ‘experience’ nonsense that he’s used from the start about Igamane (but not for Diomande, not for Jefte etc) he has now dropped the bomb that yes, Hamza was injured from the beginning, which Ibrox Noise reported many moons ago.

THAT is the real reason for the delay, nothing to do with the absolute garbage about him not being emotionally ready or able for this level – we have never heard that excuse before by any manager about any high-profile summer signing, and that’s because Rangers bungled with the medical.

As per usual, Rangers signed an injured player, and didn’t realise it till after the deal was done. Igamane wasn’t fit or physically able to play yet, and only in the past month or so has he finally become ready.

But we shan’t let that stop Uncle Phil spouting his absolute drivel about experience and being ready.

No, Igamane is now finally fit, and going by his display in France on Thursday, he might just be match fit to start more games now.

Only took 4 months.
