Rangers interested in Troyes defender Sankhoun Diawara | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Rangers are interested in ESTAC Troyes defender Sankhoun Diawara (20). The French outlet writes that the Scottish club are closely monitoring the centre-back, although they face competition from FC Basel. 

The Swiss club have made the France youth international one of their priorities and have reportedly made significant progress in their pursuit. Troyes, who won promotion back to Ligue 1 in the 2025/26 season, still hope to keep hold of a player who has been at the club since he was 14. 

He has a contract running until 2027, but Foot Mercato writes that he has no intention of extending his contract and will likely play no part in the club’s return to the top-flight. He made 17 appearances across all competitions for the senior team last season, scoring once in the Coupe de France and assisting another in the league.
