There has never been an ounce of doubt on Raphinha or the Brazilian’s importance in Barcelona’s dynamics ever since Hansi Flick took over.
His transformation on the field has been astounding, and there is no doubt that he is one of the world’s best players at the moment.
At Barcelona, however, it is not only Raphinha’s attacking heroics that are valued but also his leadership – something that has only grown as the months have rolled by.
As relayed by Mundo Deportivo in a recent update, the Brazilian is now one of the dressing room’s most vocal and respected leaders.
He is also a trusted aide of Hansi Flick, as the manager has made clear in his numerous statements about the player.
The outlet also references Raphinha’s recent speech in the dressing room ahead of the Super Cup final against Real Madrid that riled up the players and had them fighting with their all for the win.
Speaking to his teammates through a rousing speech, Raphinha reminded the team of the defeat they suffered to Real Madrid in La Liga just months ago and how the men in white celebrated wildly, even directly disrespecting players like Lamine Yamal.

He called for the team to go out on the field with their best and described the game as a ‘war’ that they had to emerge victorious in.
Raphinha insisted that it was time they showed Real Madrid who the clearly superior team were.
The winger could not tolerate the disrespect Barcelona were shown at the Bernabeu and pushed his teammates to exact revenge.
He cited how Real Madrid’s dressing room mocked Barcelona’s unrestrained celebrations as if they won the UEFA Champions League.’
Further, Raphinha reminded the team of Dani Carvajal’s direct provocation to Lamine Yamal, all for a statement and social media updates outside the field.
If anything, his stepping up and delivering such a passionate speech on the eve of the final speaks volumes about why Raphinha is truly a deserved captain of Barcelona.
