Bayern Munich bowed out of the Champions League after a 4-3 aggregate defeat to Inter, despite a 2-2 draw in the second leg at the San Siro.
Both of Bayern’s goals in Milan came from their English duo. Harry Kane opened the scoring, but Inter hit back before Eric Dier levelled things up with 15 minutes to go, setting up a tense finish.
Dier’s strike was his first ever in the Champions League – and it also marked a rare bit of history.
Only once before in Champions League history have two English players scored for a non-English club in the same game.
That was all the way back in 2005, when David Beckham and Jonathan Woodgate both found the net for Real Madrid in a 4-1 win over Rosenborg.
