Former Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen has sealed a €6m move to FC Midtjylland, returning to his homeland from Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the switch is motivated by personal reasons, Eintracht have respected his wishes, and a medical has already been completed.

Kristensen joined Leeds from Red Bull Salzburg for £10m in June 2022. He was among several departures after relegation to the Championship the following summer.

He spent a season on loan at AS Roma. The following summer he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt, initially on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

The defender made the transfer permanent in May 2025, ending his association with Leeds. His latest switch takes him back to Denmark.
