In the mixed zone, as reported by Dahia Hattabi, following Lyon’s 2-0 victory against Angers, Rayan Cherki (21) announced that he is likely to leave OL during the summer transfer window. The attacking midfielder was teary-eyed as he left the field, featuring in what is likely his final game for his formative club.
Cherki has a gentleman’s agreement with Les Gones that he can leave the club in the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old playmaker has an agreement that he can leave if a club agrees to pay €22.5m for his services. Le Parisien understands that Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have all enquired about signing the France U21 international.
The Frenchman has been a revelation for Lyon this season. Creatively, no player assisted more than Cherki in Ligue 1, with 11. He also broke the record for most assists in a UEFA Europa League campaign. These impressive performances are likely to see several clubs interested in his services as he opens the door to an exit.
