Rayan Cherki has said that his future will be decided after France’s Nations League third place play-off against Germany.

Prior to France’s 5-4 loss to Spain in the Nations League semi-final on Thursday, it was also claimed that City will trigger the £25million release clause Cherki’s Lyon contract.

Following the nine-goal thriller, Cherki addressed speculation surrounding his future and seemingly confirmed a move to Man City in on. However, the attacking midfielder insists he is focused on the Germany game on Sunday.

Speaking to Telefoot, he said: "Yes… it’s getting done. But you already know my answer, everybody knows.

"But there's still a game to play. Now we have to enjoy and give everything, but after it will be done."

Cherki was a second half substitute against Spain, but still managed to catch the eye with an impressive cameo.

Marking his senior France debut with arguably the goal of the game, he claimed an assist for Randal Kolo Muani with a inch perfect cross and created another big chance for Ousmane Dembele who hit the post.

Man City have until June 10 to complete a deal for Cherki if he is to feature at this summer’s Club World Cup.
