Sport Bild reports that RB Leipzig defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu will be remaining put this winter despite interest from Premier League clubs. Both West Ham and Leeds have been linked with moves for the 20-year-old. Despite the fact that Bitshiabu has made only five competitive appearances this season, the France U20’s Bundesliga outfit has no interest in selling him.

El Chadaille Bitshiabu plays a role in RB Leipzig’s future

Bitshiuabu’s fellow Frenchman Castello Lukeba may be moving away from the club this summer. German-Hungarian central defender Willi Orban is now 33-years-of age and himself will probably be leaving Saxony once his contract expires in 2027. Former German international Lukas Klostermann is also well past his prime and not logging significant minutes.

A thigh injury kept Bitshiabu sidelined for a significant portion of this autumn. Now that the former PSG-academy man is back fit, Leipzig expect Bitshiabu to place pressure on his teammates during the coming calendar year and compete for a starting spot. The youngster remains a €15m-valued player whom Leipzig wish to retain.
