Spanish giants Real Madrid have the name of LOSC Lille prodigy Ayyoub Bouaddi on their transfer shortlist with a view to next season.
This comes amid the club’s ongoing search for reinforcements in the middle of the park.
Los Blancos, it is understood, have a clear priority target in mind to reinforce their engine room ranks over the months ahead, namely Enzo Fernández.
With Chelsea demanding a monumental sum to part with their Argentine international, though, Florentino Pérez and co. have been forced to scour the market for alternative options.
And amid this search, the profile of the aforementioned Bouaddi is now understood to have come to the fore.
Youngster Bouaddi has of course taken his place centre stage in the football chatter across the globe over the last week. As much comes after the 18-year-old announced himself on the international stage courtesy of a standout performance for Morocco against Brazil at the World Cup.
Such excellence has long been on display at club level, though, with Bouaddi already one of the first names on the team sheet at Ligue 1 outfit Lille.
And according to ESPN, this form has not gone at all unnoticed at the Santiago Bernabéu:
‘At Valdebebas they know that signing Enzo would require a very significant financial investment, and sources suggest that they have also considered other more affordable options such as Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille.’
