Real Madrid also misdiagnosed Eduardo Camavinga’s injury | OneFootball

Real Madrid’s medical department are in the firing line after RMC Sport and The Athletic reported that the La Liga club mistook Kylian Mbappé’s injured knee, testing the right knee rather than the left. However, L’Équipe understands that is not the only mistake that they have made recently. 

Mbappé spoke of “frustration, anger, and worry” as he struggled to overcome a knee injury, from which he had been struggling since December. It is only a trip back to Paris and treatment from Christophe Baudot, whom he knows from his time at Paris Saint-Germain, that allowed for the issue to be resolved. It has facilitated the Frenchman’s return to the pitch and he has been able to travel for France’s upcoming friendlies in the USA.

But Real Madrid, L’Équipe understands, made a similar mistake with one of Mbappé’s compatriots, Eduardo Camavinga. The publication reports that, on 3rd December, Camavinga sustained an injury to his left ankle. However, the MRI that he underwent was of the wrong leg. As a result, he was on the bench for Real Madrid just days later, before then facing another two weeks on the sidelines.
