FC Barcelona enjoyed one of their most successful sporting seasons in recent years in 2025, as they lifted all domestic titles and also reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

This sporting success is also being reflected in the financial performance of the club, as an internal UEFA report accessed and reported by Mundo Deportivo highlights that Barcelona are now the second-highest revenue-generating club in Europe for 2025.

The Catalans posted total revenues of €989 million, which marks a strong increase of €220 million compared to 2024.

At the top of the rankings sit Real Madrid, who continue to lead European football in financial terms with €1.184 billion in revenue, an increase of €120 million year on year. The Catalan giants remain close behind, reinforcing the dominance of Spanish football at the very top of the European game both on and off the pitch.

Behind the two Spanish giants, Bayern Munich recorded €861 million, followed by Manchester City with €855 million, Liverpool FC with €852 million, and PSG with €837 million. Atletico Madrid are also present in the list, sitting 14th with €433 million, which represents a year-on-year increase of €21 million.

The report also highlights a broader trend across Europe, as 20 of the top 25 clubs registered record revenues in 2025. Several clubs experienced major jumps in income, with more than half a dozen increasing their revenues by over €100 million. Among the biggest risers in the rankings were Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Benfica, and Fenerbahce, all of whom climbed at least ten positions.

In terms of commercial revenue, Real Madrid once again lead the way with €568 million, up from €458 million in the previous year. FC Barcelona follow in second place with €499 million, which is an increase of €111 million compared to 2024, while Manchester City complete the top three in this category.

These figures further highlight the growing financial strength of Barcelona alongside their sporting resurgence, while also showcasing the increasing economic gap between Europe’s elite clubs and the rest of the continent.
