Real Madrid have maintained a keen eye on Como in the Serie A this season, particularly to monitor the situation of Nico Paz who is doing phenomenally well in Italy.

After all, the club see the urgent need for a new midfield profile in the summer, and the Argentine youngster is touted to be the best placed to return to the club.

As relayed by Fabrizio Romano in a recent report, however, he is not the only player Real Madrid are keeping an eye on at Como, for Jacobo Ramon is also drawing attention with his strong start to life in Italy.

Just like the midfield situation, the centre-back position is one that concerns the Real Madrid administration given the current situation and relative lack of options in the department.

Eder Militao’s persistent injuries have left him as an unreliable option while both Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba see their contracts run out in June with no step taken towards a renewal yet.

The Merengues, thus, see Ramon as an option to return to the club to help fill that gap should the need arise. Thus, they are monitoring him closely to see if he has the required quality to succeed in the first team.

Real Madrid have a buy-back clause on Ramon’s deal that stands at around €8 million, and the decision on whether or not to bring him back will depend on his form.

Further, the Italian journalist also adds that scouts of the Spanish national team who are close to Luis de la Fuente are monitoring the former Real Madrid star as well in what comes as a surprising development.

So far this season, the 20-year-old has made 14 Serie A starts for Como and has overseen six clean sheets in that duration. He averages over twelve defensive actions per game and has scored two goals.
