According to a recent update from AS, 16-year-old Abdellah Ouazane has rejected multiple contract offers from Ajax in order to move to Real Madrid.
The outlet mentions that the Dutch club has made three attempts to convince the midfielder to stay, but all have been turned down by the player and his entourage.
The last offer, considered an ultimatum by Ajax, was also dismissed, strongly signalling that his future lies in Madrid.
Real Madrid have been closely tracking Ouazane for some time and hold very positive reports on his talent and potential. The same goes for other major clubs like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but it is Madrid who appear to have won the race.
The Spanish giants are expected to complete the signing once the player’s contract expires on 30 June, allowing them to bring him in as a free agent.
Meanwhile, Ajax’s proposals were focused on offering Ouazane his first professional contract, a crucial step for any young footballer looking to establish themselves in European football.

But despite being eligible to sign since turning 16 on 15 January, Ouazane chose not to extend his stay in the Netherlands.
Sources familiar with youth transfer dealings explain that such agreements are usually settled well before the player reaches signing age to avoid complications that weren’t the case here.
Real Madrid’s plan reportedly involves integrating Ouazane into their U19 setup, effectively fast-tracking him by two age groups. There is also the potential for him to feature for Castilla, depending on his development.
Signing a talent like Ouazane without a transfer fee is another example of Madrid’s continued focus on securing top young prospects early.
The move is seen as a significant blow to Ajax, whose academy is famed for developing talent, but Real Madrid seem confident that Ouazane could be one of their standout youth acquisitions of the summer.
