According to a report from AS (via Madrid Zone), Real Madrid have officially ended their pursuit of teenage midfielder Abdellah Ouazane.

Despite recent medical tests in Amsterdam clearing the 16-year-old as fully fit, the Spanish giants have decided not to revisit the deal.

Ouazane had been one of Real Madrid’s top targets for their reserve side this summer. The club had scouted the promising midfielder for months and believed strongly in his potential to develop into a future star.

Talks had progressed well, and the youngster was even close to finalising a move to Spain.

However, his dream switch to Los Blancos was derailed when he failed his initial medical tests in Madrid.

Real Madrid unmoved by positive medical update

Recently, hopes of a revival surfaced after Ouazane underwent two more medical tests in Amsterdam. Doctors there gave him a clean bill of health, stating he is fully fit and ready to play professional football at the highest level.

The positive update sparked fresh speculation that Real Madrid could return to the table and resume talks.

However, it is now said that the club has closed the chapter for good. The decision is final. Real Madrid have opted not to proceed with the transfer, even with the revised medical findings.

The club is not taking any further chances and will instead shift focus to other targets for their Castilla squad.
