Chelsea made history by becoming the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup champions under the new format, defeating Paris Saint-Germain with a stunning 3-0 victory in the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Against all odds, Enzo Maresca’s team dominated the match, especially in the first half, where they overwhelmed Luis Enrique’s side with clinical precision.
The second half was more tense and even ended with a heated brawl involving several players from both teams.
While Chelsea celebrated their victory, Real Madrid showed true sportsmanship. The club quickly congratulated Chelsea and their fans for the well-deserved title.
Despite suffering a painful 4-0 loss to PSG in the semifinals, the Madrid club did not hesitate to publicly acknowledge the winners.
Real Madrid’s Club World Cup journey ended in the semifinals, but the club has its eyes firmly set on the bigger picture. The defeat to PSG was disappointing, but Madrid know that setbacks are part of football.
Their quick message of congratulations proves why they remain the most respected club in world football, always keeping their class and dignity intact.
In addition to praising Chelsea, Real Madrid also took the opportunity to thank FIFA and its president, Gianni Infantino, for the excellent organization of the 2025 Club World Cup.
“Congratulations to Chelsea and all its fans for the well-deserved Club World Cup title. And many congratulations to FIFA and its president, Gianni Infantino, for the brilliant organisation of the 2025 Club World Cup,” the club posted on social media.
Now, Real Madrid will regroup and refocus on the upcoming season. With La Liga, the Champions League, and other major trophies still on the table, Los Blancos are determined to return even stronger.
