Real Madrid ‘enter’ race for Yan Diomandé as Leipzig eye €130m | OneFootball

Real Madrid have moved into the chase for Yan Diomandé, according to The Athletic. Leipzig are seeking at least €130m for the 19-year-old winger.

Madrid join Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Manchester City in pursuing the Leipzig forward. Liverpool and PSG have been the most proactive in their efforts this summer.

The interest in Spain comes with Diomandé viewed as a possible replacement for Brahim Diaz if the Moroccan were to leave, which is not his wish.

Diomandé has 14 caps and 3 goals for Côte d’Ivoire. After just one season in Germany he posted 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 matches.

Leipzig want him to remain next season and the forward is under contract until 2030.

A fee at that level would be a club record, eclipsing the €90m received for Josko Gvardiol’s move to Manchester City and the €85m for Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United. Diomandé cost €20m from Leganés last summer.
