Star man is set to return in crunch La Liga title clash
Real Madrid have been handed a huge boost ahead of this weekend’s El Clasico, as Kylian Mbappe returned to training.
The French forward has been out with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss the recent 2-0 win over Espanyol, and he angered supproters when he was pictured on holiday in Sardinia while his team-mates earned three points that keeps Alvaro Arbeloa’s side just about in the La Liga title race.
They take on Barcelona this Sunday in a game where Hansi Flick’s league leaders could clinch the title should they avoid defeat at the Nou Camp, and Madrid will be doing everything in their power to stop their arch-rivals embarrassing them.
It has been a turbulent week for Los Blancos, who had to deal with multiple training ground scuffles.
Mbappe was reported to have had an altercation with a coach during a training game, before Antonio Rudiger was forced to apologise for a separate incident.

The chaos climaxed on Thursday when Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde came to blows, leading to the Uruguayan midfielder being sent to hospital with a head injury.
As such, he will not play a part in Catalonia on Sunday, and it remains to be seen what is done with Tchouameni, with Madrid opening ‘disciplinary proceedings’ against the pair.
Mbappe’s return, however, is a welcome boost for Real despite some a rumoured 45 million fans signing a petition that declared that they wanted him to leave the club following the pictures that emerged from Sardinia.
