Despite both players’ injuries, they remain part of France’s squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan on Friday and Iceland next Monday. The report also mentioned that Real Madrid have a history of using their own players to help recruit potential signings. It’s a familiar tactic the club believes could work again as they aim to secure Konaté.
