In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid have identified Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as a target for next year. It is believed that Los Blancos have set their sights on the Dutch talent as they look to bolster their squad in 2026.
The 23-year-old has already made an excellent start to this campaign as he has produced a string of impressive displays at the heart of Arne Slot’s midfield. Gravenberch has featured in five matches for the Merseyside club this season, scoring two goals and securing two assists in multiple competitions.
The Dutch talent has given a good account of himself in the opponent’s half as he is averaging 1.75 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 28.6% of his attempts on target. Gravenberch has also been tidy when distributing the ball from midfield after making 87.8% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Liverpool will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, Los Blancos would have to launch a massive offer if they want to recruit Gravenberch next year.

Gravenberch is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the offensive and can even play his way out from midfield.
The Dutch sensation can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.
We can expect Gravenberch to add more quality and depth to Los Blancos boss Xabi Alonso’s midfield department. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the Madrid club in the coming years.
At 23, Gravenberch has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for Real Madrid to consider next year. With all things considered, he would be an excellent choice for Alonso to pursue this January or at the end of this campaign.
