Real Madrid legend sends Ballon d’Or message to Ousmane Dembélé | OneFootball

A former member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has moved to congratulate Paris Saint-Germain standout Ousmane Dembélé on his Ballon d’Or award.

The player in question? Karim Benzema.

Frontman Dembélé has for his part of course dominated the headlines across all of world football over the last 24 hours.

This comes after the Frenchman was officially crowned the game’s standout player for the last 12 months.

At the Ballon d’Or gala in Paris, Dembélé beat out competition from chief rival Lamine Yamal to scoop the 2025 ‘Golden Ball’.

Messages of congratulations, in turn, have since come pouring in from across the globe, for a player once considered destined not to fulfil his undoubted potential.

And as alluded to above, adding his name to this list late last night was a former Ballon d’Or winner.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Real Madrid icon Karim Benzema unveiled a photo of compatriot Dembélé, accompanied by the caption:
