Real Madrid are in deep crisis right now, as the club are staring at the possibility of finishing two consecutive seasons without winning a trophy.
This has caused internal anger within the Real Madrid camp, with the hierarchy led by president Florentino Perez now looking to take matters into his own hands.
While there has been conflicting reports about Alvaro Arbeloa’s future at the club, it is no secret that Real Madrid are scouring the market for a new manager.
After the failures of Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa, Real Madrid could look to hire a more experienced head and that is where Jose Mourinho’s name has once again come into the fray.
A recent report from Record, as relayed by Diario SPORT, has offered some more perspective on Mourinho’s future amid Real Madrid speculation.
The report suggests Mourinho “would think about it” if Real Madrid were to formally approach him about taking charge of the club next season.

The former Chelsea manager is fully aware of the speculation surrounding the Bernabeu dugout and, according to his entourage, believes that with a few targeted adjustments, Real Madrid would be ready to compete for major honours once again.
Mourinho knows the club intimately, having managed them between 2010 and 2013, and there remains a sense of nostalgia within certain sections of the club’s hierarchy for that era.
For now, however, no formal contact has been made. As things stand, Real Madrid have not placed a call to Mourinho, and the coach remains focused on finishing the season with Benfica in the best possible manner.
He holds a contract with the Lisbon club until June 2027, though a mutual exit clause exists that would allow either party to terminate the agreement this summer.
Mourinho’s camp insists it would be “very difficult” for him to walk away from a commitment he has made, but acknowledges that a call from Real Madrid would be a different matter entirely.
