Real Madrid megastar pens heartfelt tribute to Ancelotti – ‘You changed my life’ | OneFootball

Following the announcement of Carlo Ancelotti’s exit from Real Madrid earlier today, Vinicius Jr. has taken to social media to send a heartfelt message of gratitude to the Italian manager.

Ancelotti’s exit was already known, with Brazil having announced him as their next head coach.

However, Real Madrid officially announced his departure earlier today, with the 65-year-old take charge of his final game with them tomorrow against Real Sociedad.

Vinicius’ touching message to Ancelotti

Ahead of his departure, Vinicius has written a heartfelt letter of thanks to Ancelotti. The Brazilian forward called him “the best” and expressed his gratitude for the role the Italian has played in his development as a footballer.

“Open letter to Carlos Ancelotti: Thank you, coach. For everything. YOU ARE THE BEST,” began Vinicius.

“Since your arrival in Madrid you changed my life as a player and as a person. You gave me confidence, you made me grow and you were by my side at every moment, on and off the pitch.”

Continuing, he added: “We won two Champions League titles, two La Ligas and many other trophies… but what I value most is the way you treated me, your humility and the way you have managed all these years.

“We built something beyond football. You always defended me and protected me when I needed it most.

“Today it is difficult to say goodbye. The dressing room of Madrid is going to miss you. I will miss you.”

At the same time, Vinicius also welcomed Ancelotti to the Brazilian national team, as he wrote:

“But at the same time, I’m happy to know that we already have a date to meet again: now, wearing the shirt of the Brazilian national team together. It’s destiny. I’ll be waiting for you in BRAZIL.”
