Real Madrid are preparing for some major changes in the summer after what has been an underwhelming campaign in 2024/25.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti set to depart imminently while there are likely to be some sales as well, with a few new signings to improve the squad on the cards as well.
At the same time, Real Madrid are also working on renewing the contracts of players who they consider integral to their project, one of whom happens to be Vinicius Jr.
Earlier this month, reports emerged claiming that Vinicius was all set to sign a new contract with Real Madrid, extending his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu potentially until 2030.

Building on that, MARCA now claims that Los Blancos plan on announcing the Brazilian international’s contract renewal at the end of the current season.
With this renewal, Real Madrid are attempting to put the issue of Saudi Arabia and their intense pursuit of Vinicius Jr. behind them and ensure that the 24-year-old remains a part of the club for the future.
This season has not been the Brazilian’s best. In fact, this past weekend in the Copa del Rey final vs Barcelona, Vinicius lacked physical sharpness, affecting his performance, but confidence in his contribution remains strong within the club.
As such, unless there is no surprise, Vinicius will sign his renewal and the plan is to announce it at the end of the ongoing season.
