Real Madrid are going through quite an awkward time where the club are working on bringing in new players for the season ahead, while the ongoing presidential election has witnessed the two candidates promising world-class signings.
While Florentino Perez has offered pragmatic solutions for Real Madrid – the club are expected to sign Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate – his rival Enrique Riquelme has made some wild claims.
Riquelme has already promised Erling Haaland and Rodri as his two big signings. But he is not done yet.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Riquelme, in addition to bringing in Rodri and Haaland, will also try to appoint Jurgen Klopp as the next head coach if he wins the election.
At least that is what he has promised the Real Madrid club members ahead of the presidential elections, where he is facing a tall order of beating Florentino Perez.
This comes on the back of Riquelme’s statement, where he suggested he will bring in a superstar coach if he wins the election.
That coach, according to Fabrizio Romano, could be Jurgen Klopp. The German tactician was linked with a move to Real Madrid prior to the Jose Mourinho move. But the move did not materialise.

It must be noted that Perez also admired Klopp and tried multiple times to convince the German to take up the coaching role at Real Madrid.
But that did not pan out well, as Klopp remained at Red Bull. As a key member of Red Bull’s football projects, he does enjoy an elevated role within the conglomerate.
Combined with the Red Bull franchise’s recent changes, including the exit of F1 head Helmut Marko, it appears Klopp is here to stay, at least in the short term, though there have been recent talks between the German and Riquelme.
