Endrick’s return to Spain came a little earlier than he expected as he travelled to Balaidos this week as part of his team, Olympique Lyon’s Europa League Round of 16 clash against Celta Vigo.

Although Lyon ended up drawing 1-1, Endrick, who has made headlines with his top performances in Ligue 1 since joining the club on loan in January, was one of the standout players.

Real Madrid scout in attendance left impressed

According to the French media, as relayed by Defensa Central, Real Madrid had actually sent a scout to watch Endrick in action in Balaidos.

The representative reportedly met with the youngster after the match to greet him and reiterate that the club is keeping a close eye on his progress in France.

It was a deserved recognition following a complete performance where the Brazilian recorded 59 touches, four key passes, and created one clear chance.

The highlight of the night, however, was his goal – a powerful strike from outside the box that he had been threatening throughout the match.

Beyond his offensive output, Endrick showed his competitive edge by winning four of his seven duels, proving that he is quickly adapting to the physical demands of European football and impressing the scout in attendance.

Real Madrid, for their part, have already made the decision to recall Endrick this summer once his loan stint concludes.

Because the agreement with Lyon does not include an option to buy, the French team are reportedly frustrated to be losing a player of his calibre.

However, the return to the Santiago Bernabeu comes with conditions from the player’s side. Endrick’s primary goal is to be a “truly important” part of the squad.

While he is not demanding an immediate starting role, he is seeking regular minutes to avoid the mental wear-down that often affects young prospects who lack playing time
